Kunjudo Karin Incense Sticks – Sandalwood – 80 g

Karin by Kunjudo is a Japanese incense with a modern, mild sandalwood fragrance. Sandalwood and fragrances combine to create a soft, sweet composition that brings traditional Japanese incense culture together with a more contemporary fragrance style.

Soft sandalwood fragrance with a modern character

The warm woody character of sandalwood forms the foundation of Karin. Additional fragrances give the composition its gentle sweetness and a more modern, lightly perfumed quality. This distinguishes Karin from more traditional incense compositions in which the natural aromatic wood remains as pure and prominent as possible.

The packaging design also expresses this combination of tradition and modernity. Its design is inspired by the aesthetics of Japanese Heian court culture, while the fragrance itself has been deliberately given a contemporary interpretation. This combination shapes Karin's distinctive character within Kunjudo's range.

Composition with sandalwood

Kunjudo lists Tabu bark powder, sandalwood and fragrances as the ingredients. Tabu bark powder is traditionally used as a base for Japanese incense sticks. The manufacturer does not list aloeswood or agarwood as an ingredient in Karin.

80 g for regular use

This larger box contains approx. 80 g of Karin incense sticks, offering the same fragrance as the smaller 30 g version in a more generous format. The sticks are approximately 13.5 cm long, burn for around 25 minutes and, according to the manufacturer, produce a normal amount of smoke.

To use, light the tip of an incense stick and then blow out the flame. Place the glowing stick in a suitable incense holder and use it on a fire-resistant surface.
