Mirafur Incense from Ethiopia
This is a good quality resin, harvested in the Ogaden region, the part of Ethiopia inhabited by Somalis of the Muslim faith.
The tears are clean and well sorted, grey in colour, and the fragrance when fumigated is intense and complex, but with a certain sweetness and earthy notes.
It is quite similar to Boswellia neglecta Dakkara incense from Kenya.
